Head of School Appointment
We are delighted to announce that Mr Russell Bond has been appointed as Head of Oxted School.
Mr Bond will take up his post from January 2019 and will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the school. Mrs Euridge will provide additional support and capacity in her role as Executive Headteacher, continuing to be based at Oxted School. This is a model frequently used in Multi-Academy Trusts, including other THPT schools, which has been proven to be highly successful.
The appointing panel of governors and Trustees was impressed with both Mr Bond’s experience and skill set, making him ideally suited to this new role at Oxted School. Currently, Mr Bond is Senior Deputy Headteacher at The Emmbrook School in Wokingham and previously was an Assistant Headteacher at Ash Manor School. Earlier in his teaching career he spent two years at another THPT school, The Howard of Effingham. He is also an ex-student of Oxted School, has close ties with the local community and completed his Maths teacher training with us. We are confident that this background, coupled with his demonstrable dedication to our school and commitment to partnership working, will enable Mr Bond to continue to move Oxted School forward, ensuring our students receive the excellent education they deserve.
