Technology Faculty

Intent

We are passionate about the way in which the world is using technology and our lessons have the following aims:

  • for students to develop their creativity and practical based skills that can move forward with them in everyday life
  • for students to develop cross curricular skills with English, Maths and Science
  • through the use of mini projects students will understanding for different cultures, religion and the environmental impact designing, and technology has on the world
  • to encourage students to see where the work they do in technology works in the wider world

For our food lessons we aim to ensure that all the students:

  • develop an understanding to the different nutrients and how to live a healthy lifestyle
  • develop a range of cooking skills that students can use later on in life
  • understand how to work safely in a busy environment
  • develop students confidence in following instructions to create a full product
