GCSE Results 2018
We are very pleased that our students have achieved another set of pleasing examination GCSE results, especially in a national climate of significant changes to the GCSE exam regime with students being required to sit many more exam papers that are far more challenging. We are very proud that nearly 60% of the grades students achieved were at grades 9 - 5 and over 20% were 9 to 7.
The following students achieved exceptional results which are entirely reflective of their hard work and deserve a special mention:
Poppy D – 10 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, 1 A*
James H – 7 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s, 1 A*, 1A
Alicia R – 4 Grade 9s, 6 Grade 8s
Fatima N – 3 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s
Eleanor R – 2 Grade 9s, 7 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s
Jasmine M – 2 Grade 9s, 7 Grade 8s, 1 Grade 7, 1 A
Zoe M – 4 Grade 9s, 4 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s
Maisie H – 1 Grade 9, 7 Grade 8s, 1 Grade 7, 1 A*
Mrs Euridge (Headteacher) said: ‘We are thrilled for our students: they have coped exceptionally well with the new GCSE examinations and have been extremely resilient; they have achieved some excellent results. They, their teachers and parents should be congratulated. As a year group they have supported and encouraged each other to achieve; we are very proud of them all’.
