National Indoor Rowing Competition

I went to the national school games final 2018 and competed in the indoor rowing for the England South Team. The competition was from Thursday 30 August until Sunday 2 September at Loughborough University.

The teams competing were England South, England North, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Singapore.

For my Individual event I had to row for 6 minutes and for the team race it was a 3000 metre race between 6 people resulting in 500 metres each.

There was a heat and a final for the individual races which took place on Friday 31 August. In my heat I placed first with a total of 1522 metre and then ended up placing third overall in the country with a total of 1524 metres and a bronze medal.

The team relay races took place on Saturday 1 September and consisted of a single final race. My team placed first resulting in a gold medal with a winning time of 9 minutes and 40 seconds.  I came away with a bronze in my individual and a gold in my team relay.
