Royal Marines Commando Challenge

On Sunday 11 November 2018 we took part in a 6k Commando Challenge, a mud run with a series of obstacles designed by The Royal Marines to mimic the courses they use to train. 

During the run the marines were spotting throughout and yelling at us, telling us to go quicker and get muddier.  We did the run to raise money for Children In Need and managed to raise over £600. 

A couple of days after the run we received an email from a BBC producer.  As our mum read it out we were so excited, the email invited us to the I360 at Brighton where they were filming the live show. 

We had an amazing time filming for the show.  We rode the i360 all the way to the top whilst being interviewed about our fundraising.  Everyone was so friendly and it was really interesting being part of live TV and learning how it is put together. 

It was a fun experience from start to finish and especially knowing we helped children around London and The United Kingdom, some of whom we met on Friday night.
