Intent

We aim for our students to be independent learners with intellectual curiosity who have: 

• An excellent knowledge of, and the skills to, fully understand and solve a problem, rather than recalling a procedure  
• The confidence and opportunity to be able to articulate their reasoning, decisions and thoughts
• A love of Mathematics, fostered by the development of Mathematical thinking and a view of Mathematics as a rich, creative subject
• The ability to transfer knowledge, skills and understanding to novel problem-solving opportunities 
• Fluency, supported by strong numerical knowledge and skills
