MUFTI Day - Friday 19 October
In support of World Polio Day on Wednesday 24 October, Oxted School will be having a MUFTI day on Friday 19 October.
We hope all students will participate by donating at least £1 during tutor time on Wednesday 17 October to support the purchase of vaccines to eradicate this virus once and for all.
As part of the MUFTI day we ask every student to try and wear something purple in support of World Polio Day the following week.
Polio is a highly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5. Most know it as poliovirus. The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine.
We hope you all will contribute to supporting this most excellent of causes.
