Senior Citizens' Christmas Party

Our annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party took place on Tuesday 11 December. Over 100 residents from across the District including groups from Orchard Court, Oakleigh, Windmill Manor and Tandridge Heights attended this fabulous community event hosted by the school. 

Those who attended were treated to festive food prepared by the Year 11 Food Technology class, with mince pies, sausage rolls and Christmas crackers kindly donated by Morrison’s, Oxted. A Christmas cake was decorated by Mrs Southwood, Food Technology Technician and students from Year 12 and Year 13 Health and Social Care helped in the hall and took advantage of this great opportunity to meet and talk with the senior citizens.

The school choir sang carols and Father Christmas made sure everyone went home with a card made by students in their Art class and a Christmas tree decoration designed and produced by the Technology Department.

 A big thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make this such a successful event again this year. So many of the guests have said how this is one of the highlights of their year, it is great to be able to make it happen for them.
