Senior Citizens Christmas Party
Our annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party took place on Tuesday 10 December. Over 100 residents from across the District including groups from Oakleigh, Cranmer Court Care Home, Tandridge Heights, David Gresham House and Wren Court attended this fabulous community event hosted by the school.
Those who attended were treated to festive food prepared by the KS4 Food Technology class. A Christmas cake was made and decorated by Mrs Southwood, Food Technician and students currently studying Child Development and Health and Social Care helped in the hall and took advantage of this great opportunity to meet and talk with the senior citizens. The table decorations were made by Year 10 students studying Resistant Materials.
The school choir sang carols and Father Christmas made sure everyone went home with a card made by Year 7 students and a Christmas tree decoration designed and produced by the Technology Department.
A big thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make this such a successful event again this year. So many of the guests have said how this is one of the highlights of their year, it is great to be able to make it happen for them.
