Sixth Form Enrolment & Transition to Year 12
Internal Oxted School Applicants for Sixth Form
Sixth Form enrolment takes place on GCSE results day which is Thursday 22 August. Progressing Oxted School students will receive a letter and enrolment information when picking up their GCSE results from the Main Hall. This will inform students which teacher they need to go and see for their enrolment meeting. The type of enrolment meeting they have will be dependent on their results, as some students may require an option/choice review if they have not met entry requirements for their courses and/or general requirements for Sixth Form. If students do require an option/choice review, then we encourage a parent/carer to be present for the meeting.
We do expect the morning to be very busy, so please expect possible waiting times to speak to a member of the enrolment team, but we will actively do our best to keep this is to a minimum. If you are unable to attend results day, then we are arranging enrolment meetings in the days following results day. Please contact the Sixth Form Team directly (sixthformoffice@oxted.thpt.org.uk) to book a later enrolment meeting.
External Applicants Enrolment Day for Oxted School Sixth Form
The main enrolment session for external applicants to Sixth Form will be during the afternoon of results day on Thursday 22 August. We would like applicants to meet a member of the Sixth Form Team on the afternoon of results day to check that they have met the entry requirements for Sixth Form and their courses. These in person meetings for external applicants will take place at Oxted School in the Main Hall from 1.00pm to 3.00pm. The Main Hall is located in the large building behind the front of school and can be accessed from the school gate on Bluehouse Lane.
To arrange an appointment time, please email Katharine.lestrange@oxted.thpt.org.uk, alternatively applicants can turn up on the day without an appointment from 2.00pm to 3.00pm. We prefer that a parent or carer comes along for the enrolment meeting.
What to bring with you to enrol:
Applicants should bring their Year 11 GCSE/BTEC results with them. If they are unable to produce a printed copy of their GCSE grades, then applicants should forward the email that they receive from their school to Sixthformoffice@oxted.thpt.org.uk
Applicants will also need an original copy of their full birth certificate and their passport, if they have one. If we can enrol students at the time, we will need an enrolment form to be completed; paper copies will be available.
If you are unable to attend on Thursday 22 August
If applicants are unable to attend on Thursday 22 August or they would like a few days to decide on their next steps after Year 11, then we can arrange an enrolment meeting for them on Tuesday 27 August or Friday 30 August.
